Why Organic Matters
The market is flooded with cheaply made and artificially scented candles that contain very harmful ingredients, even carcinogenic! They release volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that degrade indoor air quality. They contain Phthalates (endocrine disruptors) to make the fragrances last longer. When you burn these candles, you’re inhaling hormone-disrupting chemicals. Paraffin wax (petroleum-based) releases benzene and toluene when burned, both are carcinogenic.
